OVIK Consortium Wins New PANGOLIN Armoured Public Order Vehicle Contract with Police Service of Northern Ireland

OVIK Special Vehicles and consortium partners have been awarded a new £8.3 million contract to deliver 120 more of its PANGOLIN Armoured Public Order Vehicles to the Police Service of Northern Ireland.

OVIK designed, built and delivered 60 of their armoured PANGOLIN vehicles to the Police Service of Northern Ireland in 2011. This repeat order is the result of a re-tender for the 2012 contract. With only four months to deliver OVIK has its work cut out, but MD Duncan Hermer is confident that the company can once again rise to the challenge. “We’re extremely excited and proud to have been awarded another prestigious contract for our PANGOLIN vehicle. It proves our design – which has been developed further for the Batch 2 model – and is testament to the confidence the customer has in us, our vehicle and our ability to deliver”.
